Project Recipe
Here is the red version.
Cut card stock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Card Stock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from either Pacific Point or Real Red Card Stock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Smoky Slate Card Stock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" from Silver Foil Sheets
- 1-3/4" x 3" from Whisper White Card Stock
- scrap of Whisper White Card Stock at least 1" x 3"
Insert either the Pacific Point or Real Red rectangle into the Falling Petals Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Make sure everything will fit through the Big Shot without catching on any edges. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the embossed blue or red layer to the front of the Whisper White Thick card. I like using the Whisper White Thick Card Stock when I want a white card base as it is sturdier.
Pick out the Layering Ovals Framelit that cuts out a scalloped oval that is 2-1/16" x 3". Place the Smoky Slate rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of your Big Shot Platform on your Big Shot. Place the scalloped oval Layering Ovals Framelit on top. Place the other Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the Layering Ovals Framelit that cuts out a smooth oval that is 1-1/16" x 2". Place the Smoky Slate scalloped oval that you just cut out on the Cutting Pad on top of your Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the smooth oval Layering Ovals Framelit on top so it is centered in the scalloped oval. Place the other Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Keep out the Layering Ovals Framelit that cuts out a smooth oval that is 1-1/16" x 2". Place the Silver Foil Sheet on the Cutting Pad on top of your Big Shot Platform on your Big Shot. Place the smooth oval Layering Ovals Framelit on top. Place the other Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the Smoky Slate hollow scalloped oval to the card front in the lower right corner using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Adhere the silver foil smooth oval inside the opening in the Smoky Slate scalloped hollow oval using SNAIL.
Mount the "celebrate..." sentiment from the Beautiful You Set on Block G. Ink it up with either the Pacific Point or Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of white card stock.
Pick out the Bunch of Banners Framelit that cuts out a banner that is 1/2" x 2-5/8". Place the stamped white strip on top of your Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the banner framelit on top so the word is slightly to left. Place the other Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
The banner itself should pop right out of the framelit. The outline banner that is also cut out may not pop right out though. You may need to use a Paper-Piercing Tool to poke through the holes in the framelit to be able to remove the outline banner. You will want to remove it or the next time you use the framelit, it may not cut properly.
Adhere the sentiment banner to the bottom of the ovals about 3/4" from the bottom with the left side of the banner sticking out on the left side.
Mount the lady in the hat image from the Beautiful You Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it on the Whisper White rectangle.
Choose either the Pacific Point or Real Red Watercolor Pencil and scribble some color fairly heavily along the left side of the dress and hat and more lightly on the right side. Use a Blender Pen to blend and move the color around. Remember to stroke the tip of the Blender Pen in one direction only. If you go back and forth, then the card stock could start to pill and tear. Make some areas darker for a shading effect. When you are done coloring, scribble the tip of the Blender Pen back and forth on scratch paper until no more color is coming off.
Cut the lady image out using Paper Snips.
Adhere the lady image to the right side of the ovals.
