F un card to celebrate almost any occasion using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Calypso Coral Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 2 strips each 1" x 5-1/2" from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/2" of lines of white scroll work on Calypso Coral background from Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines are horizontal
- 3-1/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" of brushstrokes of pinks, oranges, and purples design from Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 4" from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
Unlock the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. Slide one long side of one Rich Razzleberry strip into the punch so it butts up against the guide at the back of the punch. Punch. Slide the punched cardstock over a little bit and line up the punched area with the silver design printed on the base of the punch. Punch again. Repeat until the entire length has been punched.
Tip: I sometimes find it easier to line things up with this punch if I turn the punch over so I can see the punching area. I then line up the punched areas with the designs of the punch before punching again.
Adhere the punched Rich Razzleberry strip to the bottom of the long strip of Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper so that a bit of the decorative edge peeks out from behind the designer paper.
Adhere the other Rich Razzleberry strip to the back of the designer paper strip so that only about 1/8" of Rich Razzleberry peeks out from behind the top of the designer paper.
Adhere the matted designer paper strip to the front of the Calypso Coral card about 1/2" up from the bottom.
Mount the dancing lady image from the Beautiful You Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the stamp with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the rectangle of Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper so you get the dress and hat.
Pick out the stitched circle framelit from the Stitched Shapes Framelits that cuts out a 2-15/16" circle. Place the stamped white square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the stitched circle framelit on top so it is centered over the dancing lady image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Place the circle cut out on the Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Color in the lady's arms and legs with the Ivory Stampin' Blends Marker.
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut out the dress, hair, and hat from the stamped piece of Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Adhere the cut out designer paper dress, hair, and hat over the top of the image on the white circle.
Adhere the white circle to the front of the card on the right side so it is centered over the designer paper strip and really close to the right edge.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet piece and adhere the adhesive sheet to one side of the Rich Razzleberry cardstock strip. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the piece of cardstock on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (Rich Razzleberry facing up).
Pick out the "celebrate" thinlit from the Celebrate You Thinlits. Place it on top of the cardstock on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the word cut out. Adhere it to the front of the card so it is close to the left edge and overlaps the left side of the white circle a bit and is about 1/4" up from the bottom of the designer paper.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Calypso Coral 3/8" Ribbon from the Shimmer Ribbon Pack.
Tie a half knot in the center and trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon to the lower right side of the white circle.
