Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Misty Moonlight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Early Espresso Cardstock
- 1-5/8" x 5-1/8" of white compasses and grid on blue background design from World Of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" x 5-1/8" of brown grid on mottled brown background design from World Of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/2" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2-1/4" square from Misty Moonlight Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Crumb Cake Cardstock
Adhere the strip of blue World Of Good Designer Paper to the left side of the Early Espresso rectangle leaving about 1/16" of Early Espresso showing on the top, left, and bottom edges.
Adhere the piece of brown World Of Good Designer Paper to the right side of the Early Espresso rectangle leaving about 1/16" of Early Espresso showing on the top, right, and bottom edges. It's fine if it overlaps the blue strip a bit or if there is a tiny gap between the two pieces of designer paper.
Cut a 6" piece of the Early Espresso 1/4" Faux Suede Trim.
Lay the ribbon across the designer paper/cardstock layers so it hides the seam between the designer paper pieces. Flip the rectangle over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Early Espresso rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Misty Moonlight card.
Mount the globe image of your choice from the Beautiful World Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Misty Moonlight square.
Pick out the open circle die from the World Map Dies. Put it on top of the globe image square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the globe circle cut out to the front of the card so the left edge overlaps the ribbon a bit and the right edge is about 1" from the right edge of the card and the top edge is about 2-1/4" from the top edge of the card.
Mount the "Life's A Beautiful Journey" sentiment from the Beautiful World Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Crumb Cake rectangle.
Pick out the long, skinny, bumps in the center label die from the Tasteful Labels Dies. Put it on top of the sentiment rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the label. Run through the machine.
Adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals so it overlaps the bottom of the globe circle cut out and is about 3/8" from the left side of the card and about 5/8" from the bottom of the card.
Mount the compass image from the Beautiful World Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Crumb Cake square.
Pick out the small, stitched, spiky-edged circle die from the Tasteful Labels Dies. Put it on top of the stamped compass image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the compass is centered in the circle. Run through the machine.
Adhere the compass circle cut out to the front of the card so it tucks under the lower right side of the globe circle cut out and the right edge of the sentiment label cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a small, frosted epoxy droplet from the sheet of Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the card front in the center of the compass circle cut out.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Early Espresso 1/4" Faux Suede Trim.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon already on the card under the sentiment label cut out.
