P retty thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Emerald Envy Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-1/8" x 4-5/8" from Dapper Denim Cardstock
- 3" x 4-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Fold the Emerald Envy card in half. Place the folded card on top of the Grid Paper so you can stamp off the left edge a bit and still protect your work surface.
Mount the "Thanks" sentiment from the Charming Cafe Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Emerald Envy Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the Emerald Envy card so it goes off the edge a bit and is about 1/2" from the top. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again just under and slightly to the right of the first sentiment. Re-ink it one more time and stamp it just below and slightly to the left of the second sentiment. Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the "Thanks" sentiment, but this time use the Dapper Denim Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment in the lower left corner of the vanilla rectangle about 1/2" up from the bottom.
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock using the Beautiful Peacock Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the bird image from the Beautiful Peacock Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Dapper Denim Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper left corner of the vanilla rectangle so it is as close to the top as possible and about 3/8" in from the left side.
Mount the curved feathers image on Block C. Ink it up with the Emerald Envy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the vanilla rectangle so the plain ends are coming out of the tail on the previously stamped bird image and the feathers are curving up to the left.
Mount the straight feathers image on Block H. Ink it up with the Emerald Envy Ink Pad. Stamp it so it hangs down from near the bird's tail to the lower right corner. Stamp it again a little to the right and slightly higher without re-inking.
Re-ink the straight feathers image again with the Emerald Envy Ink Pad. Stamp once onto Grid Paper. Stamp again without re-inking slightly to the left of the previously stamped straight feathers and just to the right of the "Thanks" sentiment.
Use the brush tip of the Emerald Envy Marker to color in the bird's wing.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Gold 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon with a sharp downward angle on one end.
Lay the ribbon across the stamped vanilla rectangle so the angled end is on the right and it covers the bird's legs and the bottom of the tail. Do NOT use any adhesive under the ribbon on the front of the cardstock at this point. Flip the rectangle over and fold the left end of the ribbon over. Adhere the end of the ribbon in place with a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive. Do NOT remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape.
Place the stamped vanilla rectangle face up again on your Grid Paper. Let the ribbon flap off to the left side. Just under where the ribbon will lie, put a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive that has a downward angle on the right edge and ends right at the left edge of the vanilla rectangle. Put another piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive that is slightly shorter right under the first. It should also have a downward angle on the right edge and end right at the left edge of the cardstock. Peel off the protective backings.
Tip: You can cut the Tear & Tape with Paper Snips if you wish to get the downward angles. Trim off excess on the left side of the cardstock using Paper Snips too.
Sprinkle some of the Gold Glitter Flakes onto the pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive and press them into place with your fingers. Return excess glitter flakes to the jar for use on a future project.
Put another short piece of Tear & Tape just above the glitter flakes. Remove the protective backing and adhere the loose piece of ribbon to it.
Adhere the vanilla rectangle to the Dapper Denim rectangle and then to the front of the card so it is about 3/8" from the top of the card and 1/4" in from the right side of the card.
