Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 3" x 4-1/4" from Vellum Cardstock
- 2" x 3-3/4" of bronze cardstock from Brushed Metallic 12" x 12" Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
- 1/2" x 2-3/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
Place the Buffalo Check background stamp rubber side up on Grid Paper on your work surface. Ink up the stamp by pouncing or rubbing the Cajun Craze Ink Pad all over it. Leave the inked up stamp face up on your work surface. Carefully place the 4" x 5-1/4" Crushed Curry rectangle on the stamp. Fold the Grid Paper up and over the top of everything and rub firmly all over. Using the Grid Paper protects your hands from getting ink on them.
Tip: I just clean my background stamps by running them under water until the water runs clear. Then, I let them air dry.
Adhere the stamped Crushed Curry rectangle to the front of the Crushed Curry card.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 2-5/8" x 4" from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the Vellum rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the tool.
Tip: You may have to press fairly firmly along the edges of the die to pop the cut out loose.
As you are ready to stamp using the Beautiful Autumn Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the tall, skinny, outline of three leaves on a stem image from the Beautiful Autumn Set on Block C (it fits at an angle). Ink up the image with the Saddle Brown StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it three times in the center of the vellum rectangle close to the top edge. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. It's okay if the images overlap a bit. Make sure the stems are all pointing down and are near the center of the vellum rectangle. Set aside to allow to dry for a few minutes.
Unlock the Jar Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the bronze cardstock rectangle into the punch. Punch.
Mount the small outline image of the oak leaf from the Beautiful Autumn Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom edge of the vertical 1" x 3" Crushed Curry strip so the stem of the leaf is pointing down. Re-ink the stamp with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad and stamp it in the same way on the bottom of the vertical 1" x 3" strip of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock.
Unlock the oak leaf punch from the Autumn Punch Pack. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide one of the stamped oak leaves into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Repeat with the other stamped oak leaf.
Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the punched out oak leaves to the left side of the jar punch out just below the screw top area of the jar so they overlap each other a bit and the Pumpkin Pie leaf sticks out over the left side of the jar a bit. Make sure the stems of the leaves are at the top.
If the stamped leaves on the vellum are dry, proceed with the next step.
Turn the vellum over so the stamped leaves are facing your work surface.
Color in the leaves on the BACK side of the vellum using the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use a different color combo for each set of leaves.
Cut a 16" piece of the Gold 1/16" Trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.
Attach one end of the Gold 1/16" Trim to the BACK of the jar punch out at the base of the screw top area of the jar using a small strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive. Leave the protective backing in place.
Pick out one acorn from the Acorn Trinkets.
Slide the Acorn Trinket onto the Gold 1/16" Trim.
Wrap the rest of the Gold 1/16" Trim.around the top of the jar punch out just below the screw top area of the jar. Adhere the loose end in place to the back of the jar punch out using a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the jar punch out and add some more strips of adhesive.
Adhere the jar punch out with Gold 1/16" Trim, leaf punch outs, and Acorn Trinket attached to the center of the colored vellum rectangle on the FRONT side of the vellum so it is covers the bottoms of the stems.
Put some strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the vellum rectangle where they will be hidden by the jar punch out. Remove the protective backings. Add some Mini Glue Dots to the back of the vellum rectangle where they will be hidden by the colored leaves.
Adhere the vellum rectangle to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is about 3/4" from the top edge.
Cut a 6" piece of Gold 1/16" Trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.
Fold the Gold 1/16" Trim in half. Slide the folded end of the trim under the trim already on the card front so it is just to the right of the Acorn Trinket with the Acorn Trinket pushed to the left side of the jar. Tie the trim in place using a knot. Trim the ends. Unravel the ends.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the Crushed Curry strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notched top) as far as it will go. Punch. Slide the other short edge into the punch on the same side and punch again.
Mount the "Hey There" sentiment from the Beautiful Autumn Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched Crushed Curry strip.
Use a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment strip to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower right side of the jar punch out and the right side of the vellum rectangle.
