P retty Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Balmy Blue Cardstock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4-1/4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of white snowflake dots on blue background design from A Walk In The Forest 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/4" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
Pick out the large, oval aspen tree trunks die from the Aspen Tree Dies. Put it on top of the 4" x 5-1/4" white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered inside the rectangle. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick as needed to remove the pieces.
Note: You are using the large rectangle with the cut out in the center for this project. Throw away all the little bits and pieces.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the white rectangle with the trees oval cut out of the center to the top of the A Walk In The Forest Designer Paper rectangle. Make sure no designer paper shows along the edges of the white rectangle.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the the Balmy Blue strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notch) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
As you are ready to stamp using the Beary Cute Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "warm wishes" sentiment from the Beary Cute Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched Balmy Blue strip so it is as close as possible to the notched end with the notched end on the right side.
Cut a 6" piece of the Balmy Blue & White 1/2" Variegated Ribbon.
Tie the ribbon around the punched sentiment strip using a knot so it is just to the left of the stamped sentiment. Trim the ends of the ribbon.
Adhere the punched sentiment strip with ribbon tied on to the upper left corner of the layered white oval cut out/designer paper rectangle. Trim off excess cardstock on the left edge.
Add Stampin' Seal to the back of the cardstock/designer paper rectangle with sentiment strip attached. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Balmy Blue card.
Mount the large, standing bear image from the Beary Cute Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal 2" x 3-1/4" white strip.
Unlock the Beary Cute Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped bear image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the bear punch out to the front of the card as shown so the head is just past the center line and the feet are at the bottom of the oval cut out.
Mount the bear cub image from the Beary Cute Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white square.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the bear cub image by hand.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the bear cub cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the back of the big bear punch out as shown and is closer to the right edge of the main panel.
