F inal project I created for the March RemARKably Creative Blog Tour - Party Animal Suite.
Project Recipe
For the card front, cut card stock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Emerald Envy Card Stock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of multicolored dots on white background from Party Animal Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" of white pluses on blue background from Party Animal Designer Series Paper
- 3" square from Whisper White Card Stock
- 1" x 3" from Whisper White Card Stock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Tangerine Tango Card Stock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Crushed Curry Card Stock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Emerald Envy Card Stock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Pacific Point Card Stock
For the inside of the card, cut card stock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 5" x 7-1/2" from Whisper White Thick Card Stock and scored at 3-3/4"
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Card Stock
- 2 strips each 3/4" x 5-1/4" of white pluses on blue background of Party Animal Designer Series Paper
- scraps of Party Animal Designer Series Paper at least 1-3/4" x 2", I used white pluses on blue background, white confetti on green background, and white candles on yellow background
Adhere the multicolored dots on white background designer paper to the front of the Emerald Envy card.
Pick out the framelit that cuts out a 2-5/16" x 4-1/4" banner from the Banners Framelits. Place the large piece of white pluses on a blue background designer paper on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform and place the banner framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run it through the Big Shot.
Cut a 3-1/4" piece of Emerald Envy 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. Lay the ribbon across the top of the designer paper banner. Flip the banner over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the ends.
Adhere the banner with the ribbon attached to the card front so the top of the banner is even with the top of the designer paper on the card front and is centered from side to side.
Cut an 8" piece of Emerald Envy 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. Tie it in a small bow. Trim the ends. Adhere the bow to the left side of the ribbon on the top of the banner using a Mini Glue Dot.
Pick out the smooth circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a circle that is 2-3/4" in diameter. Place the 3" square of white card stock on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform and place the smooth circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run it through the Big Shot.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Tangerine Tango Marker to outline the circle cut out.
Adhere the outlined circle cut out to the card front so it is centered side to side on the banner and just below the ribbon.
Mount the striped balloon image on Block C. Ink it up with the Tangerine Tango Ink Pad. Stamp it on the Tangerine Tango rectangle.
Mount the dotted balloon image on Block C. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it on the Crushed Curry rectangle.
Open the Balloon Bouquet Punch and slide the stamped end of the orange card stock into the punch. Line it up so the larger balloon punch space will punch out the balloon. Punch. Repeat with the yellow card stock. Repeat again with the unstamped Emerald Envy rectangle.
Pick out the striped balloon thinlit from the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits. Place the Pacific Point rectangle on top of the Precision Base Plate on top of your Big Shot Platform. Place the striped balloon thinlit on top. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. For best results, you might want to run it through the Big Shot at least twice. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces if needed.
To easily adhere the striped blue balloon cutout to the punched out green balloon, place the striped balloon cutout upside down on one side of a Silicone Craft Sheet. Cut a Stamping Sponge into quarters and clamp the triangle edge of one quarter in a large binder clip. Squeeze a small amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on one corner of the Silicone Craft Sheet. Dab the sponge into the glue and then lightly onto the back of the balloon cutout. Flip the balloon cutout over and adhere it to the punched out green balloon.
Adhere the three balloons to the circle on the card front so they overlap in a bunch.
Mount the simple outline banner image on Block H. Ink it up with the Emerald Envy Ink Pad, Stamp it in the center of the 1" x 3" strip of white card stock.
Mount the "let's celebrate" sentiment on Block G. Ink it up with the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the banner outline.
Cut out the banner by hand using Paper Snips.
Adhere the banner to the card front at the base of the balloons circle using edge pieces from the Stampin' Dimensionals.
Put a small Emerald Envy circle from the 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes on either end of the banner. You have finished the card front.
Pick out the large thinlit with the bouquet of balloons from the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits. Place the piece of Whisper White Thick Card Stock on top of the Precision Base Plate on top of your Big Shot Platform. Place the large thinlit on top so the center of the thinlit is in line with the score line on the card stock. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. For best results, you might want to run it through the Big Shot at least twice. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces if needed.
Use the Crumb Cake Marker to color in the strings for the balloons.
Open the Balloon Bouquet Punch and use the large balloon portion to punch out three balloons from scraps of Party Animal Designer Series Paper.
Adhere the designer paper balloons over the balloons in the bouquet.
Mount the scroll banner outline image on Block H. Ink it up with the Emerald Envy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" white strip.
Mount the "Party On!" sentiment on Block G. Ink it up with the Tangerine Tango Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the stamped scroll banner outline.
Cut out the banner by hand using Paper Snips.
Adhere the banner to the banner space on the cut out.
Fold both sides of the cut out down in a valley fold. Fold the center of the cut out up in a mountain fold.
Place the cut out in the center of the opened card so the center folds line up. Fold the left flap of the cut out over and put lines of Tear & Tape Adhesive on it vertically. Remove the protective backing and with the center lines of the open card and cut out lined up, adhere the left flap to the left inside of the card.
Fold the cut out pieces closed. Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive vertically down the back of the right flap. Remove the protective backings and close the card onto the folded pieces.
Open the card and you should have the pop up cut out in the center of the card.
Adhere the white pluses on blue background designer paper strips on either side of the white cut out to hide the seams between the white cut out and the card.
