A mother's day card made with the babywipe technique together with a couple of alternatives.
Project Recipe
Card Base 8 1/4" x 5 7/8" scored and folded @ 4 1/8
Layer 1 and inside layer 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
The reinkers I used for this card are: Mint Macaron, Daffodil delight, Highland Heather and Petal Pink.
Place two baby wipes folded in half into a plastic box.
Drop 4 drops of each colour in multiple areas around the baby wipe, starting with the lightest colour. You should end up with four or five areas of each colour all blending into each other.
On a piece of scrap cardstock stamp several flowers. We are using 5 for the front of the card, but have some spares, so you can choose the best ones.
Punch out your flowers.
Stamp your flower on the inside of your card.
Stamp your flower on the front of your envelope .
and on the back flap of the envelope.
Alternatively, instead of stamping on the inside and envelope you could use some of the flowers you punch out.
On a piece of scrap Cardstock, stamp your Mother's Day sentiment. Punch this out.
Colour with a co-ordinating Stampin' blend.
Attach your Mother's Day sentiment using Stampin' dimensionals near the top centre of your card leaving room for the Happy.
Above the Mother's Day, stamp your Happy and below stamp the Mum.
Attach your flowers to your card. On this card I placed them flat, but in one of the alternatives I put them on dimensionals and stamped leaves underneath. Which do you prefer?
Now we can assemble our card.
To finish off, I used some faced gems in the centre of the flowers.
For this card I used Gorgeous Grape, Lovely Lipstick, Call Me Clover and Pacific Point.
My daughter saw my cards and said it would look nicer with Butterflies, so I tried this one. It is done with Call me clover, Highland Heather, Blueberry Bushel and Rich Razzleberry.
