T he Avant garden stamp set from the Sale-a-bration brochure makes beautiful cards. I used it to create my Sale-a-bration card for an Australian Stampin' Up! demonstrators swap and then also used it at my Occasions Catalogue Open House. Doesn't it have a lovely vintage feel?
Project Recipe
Using the Stampin' trimmer cut the following:
Soft suede cardstock - cut a card base 5.5 in x 8.5 in and score at 4.25 in. Fold your card in half using the Bone folder
Blushing bride cardstock - cut a 5.25 in x 3 7/8 in piece and emboss it using the Big shot and the Falling petals textured exposing folder. Using a sponge dauber, sponge some Soft suede ink around the edge of the card.
Attach this piece to the card base using Tear n tape
Taking your 3.5 in x 4.5 in piece of Very vanilla card stock stamp three stems in Old Olive with the middle stem higher than the two side stems. The two side stems begin about 1/2 in below the bottom of the card stock.
Stamp one leaf on either side of each stem in Old olive
Stamp the two side flowers in Blushing bride making each face towards their side of the card a little
Stamp the middle flower in Calypso coral
Add the stamen to each flower using Soft suede ink
Stamp the "Happy birthday wishes" sentiment in the left hand top corner of the card
Distress the piece of cardstock by using a Sponge dauber and Soft suede ink and sponge around the edge of the card
Take the piece of Very vanilla card stock that measures 3 in x 5 in and stamp the sentiment "Hoping your day is perfect" from the Suite sentiments stamp set approximately one-third from the top of the card in Soft suede. Add another flower in the bottom right hand corner of this card piece in Blushing bride. Distress this card piece using a Sponge dauber and Soft suede ink around the edge of the card. Attach this piece to the inside of the card base using Tear n tape.
Cut a 1/2 in piece of Lace doily and attach it to the right hand side of the Blushing bride card piece just touching the edge using the Fine-tip glue pen or Tombow multipurpose glue. Attach the stamped Very vanilla piece to the Blushing bride piece using Tear n tape ensuring that the edge of the doily is covered
