T he August 2020 Paper Pumpkin provides so many pieces to make alternate cards. I cut the trophy apart to make the pot.
Project Recipe
Card Base: Cut Soft Suede 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Use the Mint Macaron plaid card to cut 4 X 5 ¼ card front. You can get two card fronts from one card included in the kit. Used a stitched rectangle die to cut the center of the plaid card front to make a plaid frame for your card front. I used a die that provided an opening measuring 2 ⅝ X 4.
I colored one of the vellum leaves included in the kit. I colored it by putting it on scrap paper and pulling the Mossy Meadow ink pad over the vellum. You could also color with a blend or marker. Once you color it, rub a tissue over it to remove excess ink.
To make the pot, trim off base, handles and top of a trophy.
Use a stitched Mint Macaron rectangle included in the kit. Attach this Mint Macaron rectangle to the center of the Soft Suede card base.
Attach the colored vellum leaf with glue dots included in your kit. I first laid it on the rectangle with a pot to determine placement. Use glue dots to attach a wood sprig from the In Good Taste Elements embellishments. Use dimensionals to attach the pot over the base of the sprig and vellum leaf
Attach the plaid frame over this Mint Macaron rectangle with dimensionals. Make sure to leave an opening at the bottom of the frame to allow space for the pot (see picture).
