P retty fall birthday card made with Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" x 4" of vanilla zig zags on dark brown background design from Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper, cut so zig zag lines are horizontal
- 3-1/4" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
- 3-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- scrap of Crushed Curry Cardstock at least 3" long
Adhere the strip of Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper to the large vanilla rectangle so it is about 1" up from the bottom.
Cut a 10" piece of Crushed Curry Solid Baker's Twine.
Fold the twine in half. Lay the doubled twine across the vanilla/designer paper layers so it is about 1/2" from the bottom of the designer paper. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the twine over. Adhere the ends of the twine in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the layers. Adhere the layers to the front of the Crushed Curry card.
Pick out the scalloped edge circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a scalloped circle that is 2-7/8" in diameter. Place the Pumpkin Pie square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Mount the basket of sunflowers and pumpkins image from the At Home with You Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the vanilla rectangle. Make sure you leave room to cut out the circle.
Pick out the smooth sided circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a circle that is 2-3/8" in diameter. Place the stamped vanilla square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the smooth circle framelit on top so the image is on the left side of the circle. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Place the stamped circle on top of Grid Paper to protect your work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers bleed through so you need to protect your work surface.
Use the Stampin' Blends Markers to color in the image. Start with lighter colors first and then add darker colors for shadows and shading. Use the lighter color again to blend the lines. Work on small areas at a time as the colored areas need to be wet for easier blending. If you go outside of the lines, use the Color Lifter Marker to remove color.
- Use Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Pumpkin Pie, and Dark Pumpkin Pie on the pumpkins.
- Use Light and Dark Old Olive on all the leaves, stems, and vines.
- Use Light and Dark Daffodil Delight and Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie on the sunflower petals.
- Use Light and Dark Crumb Cake on the basket.
- Use Bronze in the center of the sunflowers.
Adhere the stamped and colored vanilla circle to the center of the scalloped orange circle.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the circles to the front of the card on the left side of the designer paper strip.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the At Home with You Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of Crushed Curry.
Cut the words apart with angled cuts and trim above and below the words using Paper Snips.
Adhere the word pieces to the right side of the circles using Mini Glue Dots at slight angles.
Cut a 12" piece of Crushed Curry Solid Baker's Twine. Fold the twine in half. Then, tie a small bow in the middle. Trim the ends.
Adhere the bow to the circles using a Mini Glue Dot so it is in line with the twine across the designer paper strip.
