T he second of 4 alternate ideas for the April PP kit.
Project Recipe
Start with a half sheet of heavyweight white cardstock. Fold in half to create a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card base.
Cut another piece of white at 5 1/4 x 4
Cut a third piece of white at 1 1/4 x 4
Stamp 3 or 4 flowers on scrap white. Cut the first one out as the full flower and then cut the rest out in the layers of the petals.
Using an aquapainter, or stampin blend, Go over the petals to draw the color into the white area. Do this until you get your desired look.
Use your bone folder or a pencil to curl up the edges of the petals a tad. Put dimensionals on each of the layers and put them on top of the full flower that you cut out. This will give it some gorgeous dimension.
I also used my wink of stella to just go around the tips of the petals for a little extra zing.
Set that aside.
Run the small piece of white thru the big shot using the corrugated embossing folder.
Lay that down on the top of the other loose white piece and set the flower on top. This will give you an idea of where to put the leaves.
Using a shade of green, stamp the leaves in the area of your corrugated piece so the are going to be showing from under your flower.
Adhere the corrugated strip on top of the white 5 1/4 x 4 piece.
From here you will want to glue the flower flat to the corrugated piece. Let the curved petals and layers be your dimension here.
I stamped "best wishes" at the bottom right but you can use any words you have. I used the same color as the flower, Lovely Lipstick in this example.
Now just put dimensionals on the back of the 5 1/4 x 4 piece and stick that to the card base. You are all set....card 2 complete.
