F un birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Shaded Spruce Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from Shaded Spruce Cardstock
- 3-3/8" square from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
- 1-1/2" x 3-7/8" of leafy branches with frogs sitting on some of them on white background design from Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
Adhere the strip of Animal Expedition Designer Paper to the bottom of the large white rectangle.
Adhere the white/designer paper layer to the large Shaded Spruce rectangle.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Shaded Spruce 1/8" ribbon in the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.
Lay the ribbon across the matted white and designer paper rectangle so it covers the seam between the white and designer paper. Flip the layer over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add SNAIL to the back of the Shaded Spruce rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Lemon Lime Twist card.
Cut a 3" piece of the Shaded Spruce 1/8" ribbon in the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon on the card front and tie it in place using a half knot so it is on the left side of the card. Trim the ends.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet piece and adhere the adhesive sheet to one side of the Shaded Spruce square. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the Shaded Spruce square on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (green facing up).
Place the Happy Birthday Thinlits on top of the Shaded Spruce square on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the "happy birthday" cut out and adhere it to the front of the card above the ribbon.
Make sure you have a piece of Grid Paper on your work surface to protect it from ink. Place the white strip vertically on the Grid Paper.
Mount the frog on a leafy branch image from the Animal Outing Set on Block C. Ink up the frog portion of the image with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad (you will ink up some of the branch as well, that is okay). Stamp it on the top of the white strip. Re-ink the frog portion of the stamp and stamp it again in the middle of the strip. Re-ink one more time and stamp at the bottom of the strip.
Use the Lemon Lime Twist Marker to color in the stamped frogs.
Pick out the frog on a leafy branch thinlit from the Animal Friends Thinlits. Place the stamped strip of white on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the frog on a leafy branch thinlit on top so the frog portion is centered over one of the stamped frog images. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces. Repeat until you have cut out all three little frogs.
Use Paper Snips to trim off excess cardstock on the bottom of each of the three frog cut outs.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the frogs to the card front so they appear to be sitting on various parts of the "happy birthday" cut out.
