P retty, floral thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Pool Party Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of green vines with pastel flowers on black background design from Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper, cut so vines are horizontal
- half a Delicate White Doily
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Pool Party Cardstock
- flower and leaves cut from blue flowers and green leaves on white background design from Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper
Adhere the large piece of Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper to the large Pear Pizzazz rectangle and then to the front of the Pool Party card.
Make sure you have some Grid Paper on your work surface to protect it from ink.
If you haven't already done so, cut a Delicate White Doily in half. Place one half on the Grid Paper and put the other half away to use on a future project.
Roll the Sponge Brayer across the open So Saffron Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, roll it repeatedly onto the half doily. Get more ink on the brayer as needed. Keep adding ink until you have the color saturation you want.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Brayers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Mount the "thanks for everything" sentiment from the All Things Thanks Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Pool Party rectangle.
Pick out the oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out an oval that is 2-1/16" wide. Place the stamped sentiment rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the oval framelit on top so the sentiment is centered. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the scalloped oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out scalloped oval that is 2-1/4" wide. Place the smaller Pear Pizzazz rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped oval framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the Pool Party sentiment oval to the center of the Pear Pizzazz scalloped oval.
Adhere the inked up, half doily to the back of the matted ovals so the doily peeks out along the top and left.
Adhere the matted ovals and doily piece to the center of the card front.
If you haven't already done so, cut out one of the blue flowers with green leaves from the piece of Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper. Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flower to the lower left side of the matted ovals so it covers the bottom left edge of the doily half.
Carefully peel up a light colored, medium Crushed Curry circle from a sheet of Glitter Enamel Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower.
