B right, cheery birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Magenta Madness Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 2 squares each 2" square from Coastal Cabana Cardstock
- 2 squares each 2-1/4" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 2 squares each 2-1/4" square from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 2 squares each 2-1/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
- 1-5/8" square from Magenta Madness Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Coastal Cabana Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Magenta Madness Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Polished Pink Cardstock
Place the Stitched Greenery Die cutting side up on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Place the large Granny Apple Green rectangle on top of the die. Run through the machine.
Note: This die doesn't cut anything out. Instead it creates a dotted design of leaves on your cardstock.
Tip: Because the die is so big, I found it easier to put the die on the platform face up and then put the cardstock on top of it so I could make sure the cardstock was straight and properly positioned.
Adhere the patterned Granny Apple Green rectangle to the front of the Magenta Madness card.
Mount the squiggly lines on solid background image from the All Squared Away Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Coastal Cabana Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the 2-1/4" white squares. Don't worry if it isn't perfectly straight or exactly in the center.
Mount the wavy lines on solid background image from the All Squared Away Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Coastal Cabana Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining 2-1/4" white square. Don't worry if it isn't perfectly straight or exactly in the center.
One at a time, peel the protective backings off of the Adhesive Sheets squares. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets squares to one side of each Granny Apple Green square. Be sure to leave the other protective backings in place for now.
Pick out the square with leaves and a single, rounded flower die and the square with tulip flowers and leaves die from the Floral Squares Dies. Put them on top of the Granny Apple Green squares on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Granny Apple Green sides are face up. Make sure the dies and cardstock do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces
One at a time, carefully remove the protective backings from the flower and leaves square cut outs. Adhere them to the stamped Coastal Cabana design squares on the white squares so they are centered over the stamped images. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess white cardstock on all edges.
Adhere the layered flower and leaves squares on design background squares to the centers of the 2" Coastal Cabana squares.
Mount the square sentiment of choice from the All Squared Away Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Magenta Madness Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-1/2" Coastal Cabana square.
Adhere the stamped sentiment square to the center of the Magenta Madness square.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the floral squares and sentiment square on the card front to figure out spacing and placement. Once happy, adhere the floral squares in place one at a time using Stampin' Seal. Adhere the sentiment square using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Pick out the single, large, rounded flower die and the large and small tulip flower dies from the Floral Squares Dies. Put them on top of the Magenta Madness rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Repeat with the Polished Pink rectangle.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the Polished Pink and Magenta Madness rounded flowers on top of the green flower on the cut out so they are slightly offset from each other and make a fuller flower.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the Polished Pink and Magenta Madness tulip flowers on top of the green tulip flowers on the cut out so they are slightly offset from each other and make fuller flowers.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a pink pearl from a sheet of Pastel Pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the rounded flower on the card front.
