A quick and easy card for the man in your life using the Classic Garage Suite from the Spring & Summer 2019 Catalogue.
Project Recipe
Take a piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock measuring 8"x6" (20.4cm x 15.2cm). Butt the long edge to the top edge of your Stampin' Trimmer or Scoreboard and score at 4" (10.2cm). Using your Bone Folder, fold and burnish the score line to form your card base.
Cut a piece of Basic Grey Cardstock measuring 5 13/16" x 3 13/16" (14.7cm x 9.6cm).
Take a strip of Crushed Curry Card measuring 1" (2.5cm) wide and hold it against the Basic Grey layer then trim it to the same length. Put this to one side.
Using the 'road sign' design from the Classic Garage 6"x6" Designer Series Paper, cut a panel measuring 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" (13.9cm x 8.8cm). Attach this onto the Basic Grey layer leaving an even border all round, using the adhesive of your choice..
Attach this layer to the front of your card base.
Take the 1" (2.5cm) Crushed Curry strip and, using Glue Dots, attach the metallic ribbon, wrapping the ends around the card and leaving an even border each side. (I used 3 glue dots on the front, and one on each end at the back).
Attach the strip to the card base about 1" (2.5cm) from the right hand edge of the Basic Grey piece.
Take a sheet with the 'white motorcycles' design from the Classic Garage DSP and, using a pair of Paper Snips, fussy cut one of the motorcycles which is facing to the left.
Attach Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the motorcycle as shown in the photograph.
Remove the backing from the Dimensionals then attach the motorcycle to the card towards the bottom of the ribbon strip as shown.
Take a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock measuring 2 1/2" X 1" (6.3cm x 2.5cm) and, using Crushed Curry ink, stamp the 'All Geared Up To Celebrate' sentiment centrally on it.
Attach this panel onto a piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock measuring 2 11/16" x 1 3/16" (6.8cm x 3cm).
Using 5 Stampin' Dimensionals, attach the sentiment panel to the top left corner of the card leaving about 3/8" (0.5cm) border to the top and left edges.
Cut a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock measuring 5 3/4" x 3 3/4" (14cm x 9.5cm) and, using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, stamp the oil can in the bottom right hand corner.
Stamp the oil can again onto a Sticky Note making sure that the image is over the sticky strip. Fussy cut this out just inside the outer lines and stick this over the image on the Very Vanilla piece.
Using the Memento Ink, stamp the oil slick over the masked oil can image.
Remove the mask and colour the oil can image using Night of Navy, Poppy Parade and Smoky Slate Stampin' Write Markers.
Attach the panel to the inside of your card.
Your card is now finished - sit back and admire your creation.
