Project Recipe
[* means that if you bought a kit from me it was already done.]
Paper Cut Sizes:
Pacific Point Card Base - 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
Pool Party Top layer - 4 x 5 1/4
Whisper White Insert - 4 x 5 1/4
Scraps of White to punch and fussy cut out balloons. Scraps of other bright lighter colors for balloons if desired.
*Tape the cloud stencil down at the top corners. Insert the Pool Party panel under the stencil. Smear a thin layer of white embossing paster over the stencil. You can daub the palette knife on top of the clouds to give it a rougher texture if desired. Lift the stencil and take the Pool Party Panel out. Scrape excess paste off stencil and return to paste jar. Seal Paste jar. Immediately wash palette knife and stencil under water with a brush. Quickly crease a piece of scrap paper and put the embossed paper on it. Sprinkle with glitter, Turn over and tap excess off. Let dry overnight.
*Stamp balloons & greeting onto Whisper White scraps using bright inks -Stazon if you are going to use water based markers; any colored ink from Stampin' Up! if using alcohol markers / Stampin' Blends. Or use Versamark, sprinkle with embossing powder and heat set. Punch greeting and balloons out with the hot air punch. Fussy cut out the small balloons. [Color balloons with markers. Put a piece of scrap paper behind what you are coloring just in case the color bleeds through - protect your surface.]
Arrange the balloons on the cloud embossed panel until you are satisfied with their placement. Adhere with foam dots. Embellish with bright colored enamel dots. Stamp insert and envelope with hot air balloons and color. If you are using alcohol markers use a piece of scrap paper behind and between layers of envelop so protect surfaces.
