I have wanted to try making the Toile Christmas bird a Blue Jay for a long time. I know they are sassy birds but I still think they are beautiful. I know a few sassy people that I think are beautiful too. This design was actually inspired by a card that my eight year old granddaughter designed and it is posted on another post for today.
Project Recipe
The card base is Whisper White. The Balmy Blue card stock layer is 5 1/4" x 4". The top layer is Whisper White that has been embossed with the Woodland Embossing folder. The blue jay is stamped in Memento Black ink and colored with the Balmy Blue Alcohol Blends and his beak is Mango Medley. The branch is stamped in Black and colored with Soft Suede, Granny Apple Green and Balmy Blue. The deer in the distance are stamped one at a time using the Early Espresso Marker. The sentiment was stamped on Balmy Blue card stock using Balmy Blue ink. Everything was colored prior to die cutting. The branch and bird were attached using dimensionals and the sentiment was taped.
